Two things you need to know: firstly, it is a First-to-File system, meaning that the party that FILES their trademark FIRST in Myanmar will have prior rights to the party that waltzes in second to the IP Office.
Secondly, get on OUR LIST! It is going to be a mad rush and as many clients have already asked us to be prepared, we have created a list, whereby we confirm the Trademark, the Class and the Description of Goods/Services. This way, once the Regulations are out, and we know the fees and clients are agreeable to the total fee, we begin filing the applications in their new IP Office.
